Ruby Gladys Carpenter
(September 16, 1930 - January 26, 2013)


Ruby Gladys Carpenter 82, of Huntington WV, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington with Pastor Freddie Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. She was born September 16, 1930, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Roe and Lucinda Lusher Nottingham. A son Jimmy Henderson and 14 siblings also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and Baptist by faith. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Steven and Kay Mattison, and Ricky Mattison; one brother, Roger Nottingham; three grandchildren, Scotty Mattison, Kelly Mattison and Michael Mattison all of Huntington; a special great-grandson, Hayden Mattison; a special niece Kathy Kizer, and numerous nieces and nephews.
