Alberta Joann Williams

Alberta Joann Williams, 72, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday January 2, 2013, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday January 5, 2013, at Chapman’s Mortuary, with Pastor Jerry Hall officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. She was born March 17, 1940, in Logan County, WV, a daughter of the late Leonard Oliver and Lora Velvie McNeely Baldwin. Alberta had a brother, Norman Junior Baldwin, and a great granddaughter, Alannah Williams precede her in death. She was a homemaker and had attended Freewill Baptist Church in Blair, WV. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Robert W. Williams; four daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Baldwin and Billie and Glen Nida, all of Logan, WV, and Lora and James Grizzell, Lynn Conner and partner, Chuck Henderson, all of Huntington; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bob and Donna Williams, and Wesley Williams and partner, Sherry Nottingham, all of Huntington; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Sophia Withrow of Catlettsburg, KY, Ruth Ferrell of Logan, Helen Grimmett of Ocala, FL, and Ruby and Walter Williams, also of Logan; one brother, Paul Baldwin of Logan, and six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Friends may visit 6:00-8:00 PM Friday at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington.
