Frederick William Waiters
(July 26, 1935 - January 23, 2013)



Frederick William Waiters, 77, of Huntington, WV, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013, in Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center. 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Mr. Waiters was born July 26, 1935 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Augustus and Cora Lee Coleman Waiters. A brother, Augustus Waiters, also preceded him in death. He was retired from the maintenance department with the U.S. Postal Service: was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War; and was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Wanda Lou Smith Waiters; two sons, Donald Anthony Waiters of Huntington and David Scott Waiters of Carlsbad, NM; two daughters, Cheryl Ann Crawford of Huntington and Gina Marie Wilson of Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren, Jason Murrell, Courtney Waiters, Trista Wilson, Nicholas Waiters, C. J. Crawford, Alana Wilson and Ciana Crawford; two great grandchildren, Famon Dunbar and Malachi Fordham; two sisters, Betty Ann (Patrick) Moss of South Carolina and Annette Waiters of Frankfort, KY; and three brothers, Bobby Lee Waiters of Charlotte, NC, Oscar Waiters of Cleveland, OH and Willie Drew (Doris) Waiters of Washington, DC. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, January 26, 2013, at First Baptist Church, 801 6th. Ave., Huntington, with Rev. Donte Jackson officiating. Entombment will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington, with Veterans Honor Guard Post 16 conducting Military Graveside rites. Visitation will be from noon until 1:00 PM Saturday at the church. Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, is assisting the family.
