Oleta Faye Lawrence
(December 3, 1915 - January 24, 2013)



OLETA FAYE LAWRENCE, 97, of Huntington, W.Va., died January 24, 2013, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House Huntington, W.Va. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2013 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington by Pastor Richard Sexton. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens Barboursville, W.Va. She was born December 3, 1915, in Cabell County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Hezekiah “H.K.” and Lillie M. Lawrence. She was a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church, Huntington, W.Va. In addition to her parents, three sisters, Frances Dudding, June Strehle and Virginia Hoffman, and one brother, James “Jimmy” Lawrence preceded her in death. She is survived by one sister, Betty Meadows; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Kie Lawrence, Bob and Elna Lawrence, David and Jeanette Lawrence, Boyce and Sandra Lawrence, and Joyce Lawrence (widow of the late James Lawrence); two very special nieces, Joyce Miller and Lana Conner; several nieces and nephews; a very special grandniece, Tiffany (Miller) Kraus; and two very special grandnephews, Mark Miller and Chad Miller. The family would like to express their appreciation to all the special friends at Heritage Center, Huntington, W.Va. and to her precious Church family. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2013 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Road, Huntington, W.Va. 25702 or Lewis Memorial Baptist Church, 5385 W.
