Emma Marie Christian, 94, of Winder, Georgia formerly of Huntington West Virginia, went to be with the lord Sunday morning December 11, 2016. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday December 17, 2016 at Woodmere Memorial Park's Abbey of Remembrance. Burial will follow. Emma was born February 22, 1922 in Huntington. She was preceded in death by her husband James Marion Christian and daughter Barbara Lynn Christian. She was the eldest of four children of the late George H and Mable E. Seagreaves. She is survived by her younger brother George Seagreaves of FL and younger sister Louise Lykins of GA. Emma leaves behind her two sons Kenneth and James and extended family. Eldest son Kenneth Christian of OH and Emma's grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Kenneth: Bill Christian and daughter Amylyn of TN; John Christian and daughter Danielle of GA; Amanda Adams (spouse Brian) daughter Paige and sons Isaac and Asher of OH; and Brandi Hoggatt (spouse Brandon) and daughters Brooklynn Rose, Briley, Breeze of OH. In addition, Emma's grandchildren and great-grandchildren of youngest son James Christian and wife Connie all of GA: Candice Wolfe (spouse Jonathan) and sons Bobby and David; the late Jimmy Christian; Clarissa Gilliam (spouse Guy) and son Ronin; and Cailyn Christian and son Trevor. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 until 11:00 AM Saturday at the cemetery. Chapman's Mortuary in Huntington is assisting the family.
