Charlotte Genene Merritt 67, of Huntington, passed away January 16, 2016 in Saint Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Rev. Jason Black officiating. She was born May 27, 1948, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Phyllis A. Blake Black. Also preceding her in death were two daughters, Cathy Moffett and Joanna Merritt, a sister, Patty Spence and her former husband Roger Merritt. She was Baptist by faith, and worked as a cashier for Morrison's Cafeteria. Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Mary Merritt of Huntington; one sister, Barbara Adkins of Barboursville; one brother, Emzy Blake of Ona; a special sister-in-law, Doris Dolin, and a special son-in-law, Greg Holley; 10 grandchildren, Jake, KJ, Josh, JR, Doris Anne, Patrick and Bethany, Kayla, Brent and Hayle.
