Virginia "Jenny" Rife, 72, of Glenwood, WV, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, January 28, 2016, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Henry Clay and Pastor Tim Shuff officiating. Burial will be in Greenbottom Memorial Park. Jenny was born July 18, 1943 in Cabell County, WV a daughter of the late Alonzo and Hazel Chapman Black. Her husband, Dale Murrel Rife; a sister, Betty Bryan; and two brothers, Junior (Junie) Black and Lonnie Black, Jr, preceded her in death. She attended Sunrise United Methodist Church. Survivors include: her two daughters, Kim Sydenstricker and Lisa Bird and husband Chris, all of Glenwood; her son, Steven Dale Rife and wife Kim of Glenwood; her nine grandchildren, Audrey Holland and husband Michael, Sarah Sydenstricker and Kylan Gaines, Lacy and Haley Bird, and Jackie, Heather, Paige, Tabby, and Liam Rife; and her three sisters, Polly Fisher, Becky Clagg and husband Wes, and Sheila Campbell and husband Richard, all of Milton. She leaves behind a lasting impression on all that were fortunate enough to know her. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at Chapman's Mortuary.
