Elizabeth L. "Libby" Deane, 95, of Huntington, widow of Bernard E. Deane, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, January 5, 2016, from her residence. She was born September 22, 1920, in Point Pleasant, WV, a daughter of the late James Burris and Melva Burris Hicks. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Ann Chafin and her nephew, Bob Chafin. Libby was a mother, grandmother, and was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of 83 years of the Fourth Avenue United Methodist Church, and a member of Guyandotte Chapter 89 O.E.S. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Gary Dison of Natchitoches, LA; a son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Nancy Deane of Richmond, VA; grandson, Casey Viers of Hot Springs, AR; a niece and her husband, Roberta C. and Ron Bieber of Huntington, and their children, Lisa Alexander and her husband, Robert Alexander, and Steve Bieber and his wife, Laura Bieber. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, January 8, 2016 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Jeffrey Arthur officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friends may visit with family 12:00-2:00 pm Friday, prior to the service at Chapman's Mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to the Fourth Avenue Methodist Church or the Huntington City Mission.
