David Lee Gilbert, 78, of Huntington, husband of Beryl Jean Gilbert, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at his residence. He was retired from the Cabell County Board of Education. Additional survivors include a son, David Alan Gilbert and wife, Linda Gilbert of Barboursville; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Arthur Gilbert and Beatrice Lou Marshall Gilbert Stewart; a daughter, Nina Jean Branch; sister, Patricia Lou Adams; and two brothers, Joe Gilbert and Larry Gilbert. Graveside services will be held at White Chapel Mausoleum at 11:00 am Monday, January 18, 2016 with Josh Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit after 10:30 am at the cemetery.
