Obituary

Danette "Dee Dee" "Speedy" Moore Walker, 53, of Huntington, WV, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016, in St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born December 24, 1962 in Huntington a daughter of the late Jack Arnol and Johnna Lou Cook Moore and left this world to be with them once again. After her passing the most beautiful sound we heard was the tinkling of little bells at St Mary's Hospital signifying that there was a new birth, which she would have loved. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene; a 1980 graduate of Huntington East High School; and had been a technician with Alcon where she got the nickname of Speedy. Survivors include: two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carol Moore Wells and Steven Wells of Chesapeake, OH and Cheryl Moore Vance of Huntington; a nephew and his wife, Jordan Arnol (Hélené) Vance and a niece and great niece, Jarrah A. Vance and Jaidyce A. Vance, all of Lynchburg, VA; that she loved so much. Best friend and special cousin, Sherri Denise Moore Spencer; and a special friend who helped her in this last year, Lynn Daniels and her precious dog Maggie Mae. There were many cousins and friends by her side singing and playing some of her favorite songs as she transcended into heaven. Danette was a joy to be around and you seemed to be laughing when she was. She had many church friends, family members and friends whom she depended on and loved. She had a love for animals like no one we ever knew and talked to all of them. Our pets will miss her. She also loved the Green Bay Packers. She was an ornery kid growing up and you could still see it in her eyes even in the hospital. Funeral services will be conducted 6:00 pm Thursday, December 22, 2016, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Dallas Moore and her Uncle, Rev. Robert Cook, officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00pm Thursday at Chapman's Mortuary.
