She began her career in Logan as an operator for C & P Telephone Company, and retired as a Business Office Supervisor after 38 years of service. After her retirement, she devoted much time to the selfless rendering of care for her family and friends. A highlight of her later years was her luncheons with cherished friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Gore, two brothers, Alfred and George Turrow, her loving sister and soul mate, Helen Howard, and a very dear friend, Dale Shaheen.Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gregory Lance Gore, Stuart Randall Gore and Robin Yearout; brother, Woody Yohan; five grandchildren, Lance Gore, Amanda Elswick, Elliott Gore, Dustin Gore, and Leah Gore; and four great grandchildren, Erin Elswick, Brier Elswick, Liam Gore, and Riley Gore. Also mourning her passing are her dear sister-in-law, Olive Turrow and devoted nephew and niece, Steven and Cindy Howard, and Susie Strawn, along with a multitude of family members, which she cherished. Rosie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and a loyal friend to many. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to all involved in her care; Cabell Huntington Hospital, MU Family Practice, Heritage Center and Rehabilitation Unit. To honor her wishes, a time of sharing and celebration of her life was held with her immediate family. Rosie's wishes were that in lieu of flowers, and donations be made to Hospice of Huntington or the American Diabetes Association. Chapman's Mortuary has graciously assisted the family with the necessary arrangements.
