Eileen Nichols

Eileen Nichols, 85, of Huntington, WV, passed away Wednesday December 30, 2009 in St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born January 28, 1924 in Ashland, KY, a daughter of the late Robert Joseph and Victoria Shortridge Dillow. A son, Carl L. "Nick" Nichols, III, and two sisters, Helen Breeding and Ruth Campbell also preceded her in death. She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, and was a former member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert J. and Susan Hunter-Nichols of Huntington; a daughter, Penny Blue of Virginia Beach, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Michael L. and Kathy Nichols of Huntington; a sister, Evelyn Wood of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and the children's father, Carl L. Nichols, Jr. of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday at Chapman's Mortuary with the Rev. Stephen Hensley officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Huntington. Friends may call after noon Monday until services at Chapman's Mortuary
