Oma Jane Davis

Oma June Davis, 78, of Huntington, WV, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Wednesday May 27, 2009, after a prolonged illness, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born January 20, 1931 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Raymond E. and Elizabeth Urban DeBord. Oma also had a sister, Ursula DeBord, and a brother, David DeBord, precede her in death. She loved to golf and enjoyed the birthday luncheons with her golfing friends. Oma is survived by her husband of 58 years, Harold L. Davis, Jr; two daughters, Ursie "Ling" Davis and Teresa Davis, both of Huntington; a son, Harold Lee "H.L." Davis III of Barboursville; a special grandson, Harold Lee Davis, IV, of Huntington; a brother and sister-law, Raymond DeBord, Jr, and Sheena De Bord of Barboursville;a special loved one, Joanelle Swann of Huntington; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday May 30, 2009 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Claude Spurlock officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington.
