February 22, 1935 -- May 15, 2009
Frank Freeman
Touma, Jr. passed away May 15th 2009 at his home surrounded by
his wife and family. Frank was born in Glendale, Arizona on February 22,
1935 to Frank Freeman Touma. and Francis Louise Banks After High School,
Frank served as soldier in the Korean War.
Frank always had a love for classic cars, which continued his whole life.
This is a love that he shared with his sons, and they would talk for hours
about them. Frank had many interests, and it was his many loves and
interests that kept him young at heart throughout his life. When he was
younger, he taught History at Glendale High School in Arizona. After moving
to Pittsburgh, Kansas, he taught History and Auto Mechanics. Frank Thuma and
Drema Parsons were married on April 27, 2000 in North Carolina and together
they moved to Huntington, West Virginia that same year. Frank is survived by
his wife and constant companion, Drema. Frank is survived by his sister,
Patricia and Lynn Jacobson, of Saint George, Utah. Frank is also survived by
his 5 sons and 1 daughter; Donald Frank and Karen Thuma, Chanute, Kansas,
Benita Kay Thuma-Nolan and Steve Nolan, Cougar, Washington, Ronald Freeman
and Jodeen Thuma, Prescott Valley, Arizona, James Everette and Dinah Thuma,
Lakewood, Colorado, Phillip Roger and Katrina Rowe, Huntington, West
Virginia , and Dennis Todd and Vickie Rowe, Huntington, West Virginia. Frank
is survived by numerous children and grandchildren, special nephew, Sandy
Harvey, Los Alomos, California, and special granddaughter, Lizabeth (Larry)
Rowe, Huntington, West Virginia. Frank is survived by his mother-in-law,
Virginia Parsons. Frank is survived b his pets and companions Sparky and
Kat. Frank is preceded in d death by his parents Frank Freeman, Sr. and
Francis Louis Thuma, sister, Janette (Sissy) Harvey, Seal Beach, California,
and brother Carl Thuma, Coffeville, California. Special thanks to neighbor
and friend, Trish, for her invaluable assistance and endless generosity.
There were many others who extended their friendships, and we would like to
thank all of you. There are too many to mention by name, but we wasn't you
to know that you make our lives so special.
Special thanks to Trina, Phil, and Larry for always being available at a
moments notice, day or night to help out, and all the ways you love us and
enrich our lives. Frank was a father to many, and touched the lives of all
who knew him. Contributions can be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of
