Barbara Ann Jenkins
January 13, 1941 - May 7, 2009



Barbara Ann Jenkins, 68, of Huntington, wife of 49 years to Roger A. Jenkins, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2009, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted 12:30 PM Thursday May 14, 2009, at Chapman�s Mortuary with Pastor Buddy Muncy officiating. Burial will be in Bias Chapel Cemetery, Milton. She was born January 13, 1941, the daughter of the late William S. and Addie Black Morris. Her sister, Penny Martin, and two brothers, Bill Morris and John Morris, also preceded her in death. She graduated from Huntington East High School. Barbara had worked at Kerr Glass in the packing department; was a former teacher's aide at Children's Place; currently worked as a foster grandmother at Children's Place and also called Bingo, which was one of her passions, at the VFW Post 9738 in Guyandotte. She was a member of the Rock of Ages Baptist Church, VFW Post 9738 Ladies Auxiliary, and the American Legion Post 93, Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Ms. Sherri Boster and her companion, Richard Osburn of Huntington; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jeffrey Allen Jenkins of Huntington, Michael Todd and Gretchen Jenkins of Greenville, SC, and David Scott and Ann Marie Jenkins also of Huntington; nine grandchildren, Cameron and his wife, Heather, Megen, Will, Meredith, Mekenzie, Mitchael, Madison, Stephen, and Catherine; two special great grandchildren, Tyler and Jenna; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Margaret "Smokey" Morris of Huntington, and Paul and Delores Morris of Proctorville, OH; a special aunt, Renee Goodmen of Huntington; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington.
