Clifford J. Armstrong
(March 11, 1922 - January 6, 2010)

Clifford J. Armstrong, 87, of Huntington, WV, husband of Minnie E. Long Armstrong, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 pm Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Chapman's Mortuary, with Dr. Darrell Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, with military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 9738. He was born March 11, 1922, in Huntington, WV, a son if the late Manford and Virgie Burgess Armstrong. Several siblings also preceded him in death. He was a US Navy veteran, retired from the former Conner Steel as a crane operator, and a member of New Life Church. Survivors in addition to his wife include; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sandra and John Mathews, and Patricia Vance all of Huntington; three sisters, Orpha Nicely, Pauline Hart and Darlene Merritt all of Huntington, a brother David Armstrong of Ohio; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
