Rose Mary Gadbut
(April 13, 1928 - August 19, 2011)

Rose Mary Gadbut, 83, 0f Huntington, widow of John Gadbut, died August 19, 2011, at Heritage Center. Rose Mary was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 13, 1928. She attended local Catholic schools in Chicago. She also attended college in the state of Illinois. Rose Mary married John Gadbut on October 25, 1947. She was a loving and caring wife for 60 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, George and Rose Navadomskis. Rose Mary worked for the telephone company in Chicago and also in Huntington. She enjoyed many years with her sewing buddies, Peggy, Sharon, Kim, Willa, Marion and Linda, Rose Mary and John did not have any children on their own, however, she loved the little children and enjoyed the title “SPARE GRANDMOTHER”. She did so much to help so many. She was also proud of the fact that she could take care of herself. Many of her close friends can attest to this. She had two very close friends, Ron and Joy Roach who were always there for her care and to give her support. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 2, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Woodmere Abbey of Remembrance, Woodmere Memorial Park. Officiating will be Father Jim Sobus. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington. Chapman’s Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. Friends may call at the cemetery after 10:30 am. Friday, September 2, 2011.
