Joe Ray Wilt, 83, of Proctorville, OH, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at his residence and was reunited with his wife of 47 years, Peggy Laverne Wilt. He was born May 29, 1928 in Rainelle, WV a son of the late Leon William and Betty Florence Phillips Wilt. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, John “Jack” Wilt; and two sisters, Betty “Honey” Hart and Bobbi Neely. He was a retired electrician from the former C & O Railroad and was a member of Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include: three daughters, Vanessa Renee Reese and her husband Mark of Saint George, UT, Kimberly Jo Gracey and her husband Gordon of Forks, WA, and Heather Rae Carver and a son-in-law, Brad Carver of Proctorville, OH; three grandchildren, Zachary Reese, Kyle Reese, and Logan Reese; a brother, James Wilt of Arlington, VA; a sister, June Stancovich of Silver Springs, FL; his “boys”, Jaxson and Arlo; and a host of other family and special friends.
