Mark Edward Seamonds
(November 2, 1953 - August 17, 2011)



Mark Edward Seamonds, 57, of Huntington WV, beloved son of Joyce Wilson Seamonds and the late Billy Jack Seamonds, went to be with his heavenly father on August 17, 2011. He had been a resident of Heritage Center. He was born on November 2nd, 1953 in Huntington, WV. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Jack Seamonds, his brothers, Bryan Francis and Jack Ashley Seamonds, his maternal grandparents, Ora Bailey Wilson and Harry Wilson, and paternal grandparents May Rucker Seamonds and Henry Clay Seamonds. He is survived by his mother Joyce Wilson Seamonds of Huntington, his daughter Rachel Letha Seamonds and his son Justin Wilson Seamonds of Winchester, TN. His sister Carla J. Seamonds of Huntington, his niece Ashley Seamonds of Canton, MI, and nephew Sean Seamonds of Salt Lake City, UT. He acquired the rank of Master Sergeant United States Air Force during the Vietnam era. He was a master electrician for 34 years and a member of the local 317 electrician’s union. He became a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason of the Atlanta Consistory, Valley of Augusta, Orient of Georgia. He loved music and learned to play the drums at Huntington East High School under the direction of the late Bob Tweel. His funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, August 23rd, at10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Huntington, with Father Jim Sobus presiding. Visitation will be at 9:00 A.M. at the church preceding the mass. Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
