Billy Gene Ellis, 51, of Huntington, passed away Tuesday June 14, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday June 18, 2011 at Chapman’s Mortuary with Rev. Sam Adkins and Pastor John Harris officiating. Burial will be in Porter, Ellis, Adkins Cemetery, Wayne Co. He was born September 24, 1959 in Cabell County, WV, and raised by the late Earnest Leffingwell and Doris Maxine Porter Leffingwell. Billy was part owner and operator of Ellis Contracting, and a member of DAV Chapter 2, and the VFW Post 1064. Survivors include his daughter, Shelli Ellis of Huntington; two sons, Joshua Ellis and Patrick DeMarco, both of Huntington; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Donna Ellis of Rutherford, NC., Herman and Virginia Ellis of Huntington, and John and Peggy Adkins of Milton; six sisters and four brothers-in-law, Shelia Ellis of Kenova, Doris and John Harris of Lavalette, Maudella Ellis, Kitty and Gary Eaves, and Tammy and Cliff Akers, all of Huntington, and Vesta and Frank Parrish of Myrtle Beach, SC.; a granddaughter, Alexandra Collins and great granddaughter, Victoria Collins Fuller, both of Huntington; and many nieces and nephews, all who loved him dearly.
