Eleanor W. Roberts

Mrs. Eleanor W. Roberts, 97 of Huntington, widow of Jack Roberts, passed away, Tuesday June 21, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Chapman’s Mortuary, with Rev. Cinda Harkless officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Huntington. She was born November 12, 1913 in Minnehaha Springs, WV, a daughter of the late Winston L. and Anna Rachel Hicks Herold. She was a member of Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church. A sister, Jenny Snedden also preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carole and Jim Odum, Jr, of Huntington, WV, a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Patience Roberts, of Proctorville, OH; 4 grandchildren, Jimmy (Lisa) Roberts, of Proctorville, OH, Tommy (Angie) Roberts, of So. Point, OH, Nancy Watts of Harrisonburg, Va, and Cathy (Andy) Ritchie, of New Market, VA; 7 great grandchildren, Olivia Roberts, Landon Roberts, Hannah Roberts, Jenna Roberts, Nick Ryder, Ty Watts and Mikayla Ritchie; a step grandchild, James Odum, III, of Chillicothe, OH; step great grandchildren, Cassie, Cody and Brian Ritchie; and a brother Grady Herold of Mercerdes, Texas. The family would like to thank the Staff at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House and Hospice of Huntington for their love and care.
