Christine Mary Kluemper
(May 21, 1950 - June 23, 2011)



Christine Mary Kluemper, 61, of Huntington, WV passed away with family and friends on Thursday June 23, 2011, at the Emogine Dolen Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. She was born May 21, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio. The daughter of the late Richard and Mary Egan Theus, she is survived by her husband of 35 years, Ted Kluemper Jr of Huntington, WV; sons Teddy Kluemper III (Molly) of Huntington, WV, and David R. Kluemper of Pittsburgh, PA; three sisters Patricia Higgins (Allen), Nancy Kassor (Tom) and Peggy Wolfe (Tom) of Cleveland, OH; one brother Richard Theus, Jr. (Joyce) of Cleveland, OH; sister-in-law Linda Raines (Steve) of Greencastle, IN; 12 nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and extended family; special friends Mary Ann Coalson and Linda Hensley of Huntington, WV and was the beloved "Ce-Ce" to her only granddaughter Sophia Elaine Kluemper of Huntington. She graduated from St. Stephens High School and St. Johns College in Cleveland, OH and spent 10 plus years as a teacher and tutor at St. Josephs Catholic School and the Marshall University H.E.L.P. Program in Huntington, WV. Chris also worked with her husband for many years at Ted V. Kluemper Insurance Agency. A mass of Christian burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday June 27, 2011, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with the Rev. Father James Sobus officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park in Huntington, WV. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at Chapman’s Mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made in memory of Christine Mary Kluemper to the Big Green Scholarship Foundation, the Marshall University H.E.L.P. Program or Hospice of Huntington.
