Sylvia Jewell Gillette Walters of Kenova, WV, passed away Saturday June 18, 2011, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday June 21, 2011 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington, with Pastor Don Napier officiating. Burial will be in the Perry Family Cemetery, Ferguson WV, Wayne County. She was born January 25, in Wayne County, WV, a daughter of the late George Henry and Blanche Sparks Perry. Her first husband, Jack Gillette, two sisters Lucille Damron and Ernestine Watts, and three brothers, Charles Perry, Christopher Perry and Keith Perry also preceded her in death. She retired from Owens Illinois Glass Manufacturing. Survivors include her husband, Charles Walters of Kenova; 4 sons and two daughters-in-law, Jack W. and Charlotte Gillette of Ashland, KY, Mark and Suellen Gillette of Marietta, GA;, Charlie Walters, Jr, of Huntington, Brian Walters and companion Ted Welch of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren, Mary Jewell Johnson, Angela Burke, Jennifer Walters and Josh Walters; 5 great-grandchildren; one sister Gladys Ullom of Hurricane, WV, a brother and sister-in-law, Don and Betty Perry of Salem, WV.
