Lula Mae Spencer
(September 21, 1935 - November 16, 2013)


Lula Mae Spencer, 78, of Huntington, WV, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Rose Terrace Health and Rehabilitation, Culloden, WV. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 PM Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Tom Jones officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Huntington. She was born September 21, 1935 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Charles W. and Ella Mae Gilland Alley. Her husband, Jack Watson Spencer; a brother, Frank Thompson; three sisters, Clara Kirby, Josephine France and Jeanetta Norvell; and two daughters-in-law, Phyllis Alley and Debbie Spencer, also preceded her in death. She attended New Beginning Apostolic Church, Huntington. Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Frances Suzanne and Dan Stone of Durand, MI; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Stephen Lee Alley Sr. and Carolyn Alley of Chesapeake, OH and Michael Anthony Spencer of Huntington; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a sister and a brother-in-law, Sharon Kay and Roger Lucas of Ona, WV; and a brother, William Alley of Huntington. She loved attending church and dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, November 18, 2013, at Chapman's Mortuary.
