Ruth Elizabeth Chapman
(April 15, 1927 - February 2, 2015)

Ruth Elizabeth Chapman, 87, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with her Heavenly Father, Monday, February 2, 2015, in Chateau Grove Senior Living, Barboursville, WV. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Tim Arthur officiating. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park. She was born April 15, 1927, in Summersville, WV, a daughter of the late Andrew Talten and Rose Etta Boggs Summers. Several siblings, and her loving son, Phillip Trent Chapman also preceded her in death. She attended 26th Street Baptist Church, and was a kind and loving mother who was devoted to her family. Survivors include: two daughters, Sheree Britt (Mike) of Huntington, Kathy Sheppe (Joe) of Columbia, SC; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Chateau Grove Senior Living for their kindness and care of their mother.
