Obituary

William R. "Bud" Hensley
(March 4, 1922 - February 7, 2014)



William R. “Bud” Hensley, 92, of Huntington, WV, our loving husband, father & grandfather, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 7, 2015, at his residence. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday February 12, 2015 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington with Pastor Steve Hinkle officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. Bud was born March 4, 1922 in Logan, WV, a son of the late Garland & Sally Conley Hensley. He retired from the former Heritage Bank. He was also preceded in death by, a daughter, Peggy Brumfield, three sisters & three brothers. Survivors include his wife Margie Mullins Hensley, one daughter, Brenda Burcham, of Huntington, two sons, Roger Hensley of Huntington & Ralph Hensley & wife Ann of Ashland, KY, 6 grandchildren, Michael Brumfield of Huntington, Mark Brumfield of Teays Valley, WV, Mary Beth Ilderton of Logan, Robin Lovejoy of Huntington, Samuel Hensley of Washington, DC & Katlyn Hensley of Ashland, and 12 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington & caregivers, Brenda and her friend Clint Lykins. Veterans Honor Guard Post 16 will conduct military graveside rites. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary after noon on Thursday.
