Obituary

Judith Ann Davis Ridenour
(August 5, 1938 - February 8, 2015)



Judith Ann Davis Ridenour, 76, of Huntington, ended her earthly journey, and arrived in the presence of God, on February 8, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted 11 am Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at Community of Grace United Methodist Church, with Pastor Steve Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was born on August 5, 1938, to the late Paul H. Davis Sr., and Lucille Williams Davis. Three brothers and one sister also preceded her in death. Judy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Harold H. Ridenour;, two daughters, Liz Ridenour (David) Bias, and Brenda Ridenour (Brian) Johnson, two sons, Mike and Mark Ridenour;, four grandchildren, two step grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. A loving wife, mother, grand-mother, great grand-mother, sister, daughter, and friend. Judy was a partner in the business that she and her husband owned, while raising four children. She was a long time member of Highlawn United Methodist Church/ Community of Grace UMC, and was a faithful member of the choir, singing with a beautiful alto voice, for 62 years. She was also a member of the “Knit Wits”, who make prayer shawls and chemo caps. A loving and faithful friend to many, Judy will be missed greatly, but her family and friends take comfort in knowing that they will be united again with her one day. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday at Chapman’s Mortuary.
