James Theodore Drown

James Theodore Drown 86, of Huntington, WV, widower of Donna Fae Watkins Drown, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 at home. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Chapman’s Mortuary, with Pastor Jeff Black officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. He was born August 15, 1928 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Elba and Luna Roach Drown. In addition to his parents and wife, several siblings and two great-grandchildren also preceded him in death. He graduated from Marshall with an accounting degree, was a retired accountant and purchasing agent for the Herald Dispatch, was a longtime member of Twenty Sixth Street Baptist Church and attended First Baptist Church of Proctorville. He is survived by a daughter, Dawn Drown of Huntington, a son and daughter-in-law, David and Brenda Drown of Myrtle Beach, SC; 4 grandchildren, Krissa Cornell, Hannah and Brent Parsons, Jason and Lori Drown, Kerra Meyers-Sowards and Jonathan; 8 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, February 23, 2015 at the funeral home.
