Boyd Leroy Dunn
(November 1, 1930 - June 9, 2015)



Boyd Leroy Dunn, 84, of Huntington, husband of Barbara Chipman Dunn, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born November 1, 1930, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Clyde and Alta Ray Dunn. Two sisters, Wanda Pierce and Nina Lewis also preceded him in death. He graduated from Huntington East High School, was a US Navy Veteran, and a member of Community of Grace United Methodist Church. He retired as a crane operator from the former INCO. In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Joseph Fannin of Proctorville, and Julie and Jack Bybee of Barboursville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Sharon Dunn of Greenbottom, and David and Donna Dunn of Huntington; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Buzzard and husband, Vic Buzzard, Stacy Wellman, and husband, Barry Wellman, Tara Dunn, Christopher Dunn, and wife, Juliet Dunn, Andrew Dunn, Sara Williams, and Jacob Bybee; a brother-in-law, Frank Lewis of India Atlantic, FL; sister-in-law and her husband, Harriet and George Woodman of Westbrook, Maine; 17 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 pm Friday, June 12, 2015 at Community of Grace United Methodist Church with Pastor Steven Hamrick officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Friends may visit family one hour before services at the church. Donations may be sent to Hall’s Personal Care Home or to Hospice of Huntington in his name.
