Obituary


Charles Max Ross


Charles Max Ross, 74, of Huntington, widower of Janet Sue Pennington, died Friday, January 31, 2020 at his residence. He was born May 9, 1945 in Huntington, a son of the late Maxwell Francis and Nora Frances Cyrus Ross. Other family preceding him in death were a granddaughter, Lakisha Sue Caldwell; two sisters, Edna Booth and Judy May; three brothers, Homer Ross, Gary Ross, and Dink Ross; and a daughter-in-law, Kay Ross. He was a retired welder and grinder from ACF Industries. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Crystal and Steve Eagle, and Gladys and Jackie Adkins, all of Huntington; a son, David Ross of Huntington; sister, Marge Ramey of Barboursville; brother, Larry Ross of Huntington; three grandchildren, Courtney Ross, David Ross, and Seth Adkins, all of Huntington; and four great grandchildren, Drake Ross, Kenya Ross, Isiah Caldwell, and Chase Caldwell. Per his wishes he will be cremated, and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
