Sammy Wayne Cardwell

Sammy Wayne Cardwell, 58, of Huntington, died Sunday, July 3, 2022 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born August 10, 1963 in Huntington a son of the late Gary Adrian Cardwell and Linda Lee Lafon Eplion. Sam was a U.S Army Veteran, after which he worked as a laborer in construction. He was a nice and gentle man and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his siblings, Tammy Midkiff and her husband, Raymond Midkiff of Mico, TX; Gary "Junior" Cardwell of Huntington, and Brian Cardwell and wife, Shelia Cardwell of Huntington; and step-siblings, Kim Pugh and husband, Bill Pugh, of Huntington, James Eplion and wife, Lisa Eplion of Getaway, OH, Timmy Eplion and wife, Kim Eplion of Huntington, and Mike Eplion and wife, Kathy Eplion of Milton. His wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service may be planned at a later date. Chapman's Mortuary is assisting the family.
