Betty Ellen Mills

Betty Ellen Mills


Betty Ellen Mills, 83, of Huntington, widow of Ezekiel Mills, died Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born July 23, 1938 in Lesage, Cabell County, WV, a daughter of the late Lester and Margaret Ellen Jeffers Henry. In addition to her husband and parents other family that have preceded her in death are three children, Helena Gale Mills, Charles Mills, and Ezekiel Ray Mills; a sister, Faye Jordan; and in-laws, Grace Mills, Larry Earwood, Donna Henry, and Cricket Henry. She attended Apostolic Life Cathedral when she was able. Betty worked formerly at Marshall University in the house keeping department. Survivors include two sons and two daughters-in-law, Marion F. and Christy Mills of Blacklick, OH, David Mills of Proctorville, and Gayle Mills of Huntington; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Earwood of Huntington, and Garnet and Eric Jarrell of Huntington; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Irvin Henry of Lesage, Mart and Doris Henry of Lesage, Bobby G. Henry of Glenwood, and Jamie Henry of Lesage; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the White Chapel Mausoleum in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
