Betty Caviness Edwards 87, of Louisa, KY passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022 in J J Jordan Healthcare Center, Louisa. She was born January 22, 1935 in Pearisburg VA, a daughter of the late Robert and Clara Atwell Poff. One daughter, Pamela Caviness, and a sister Mary Whaley also preceded her in death. She was a beautician by trade and retired from the maintenance area of Rotary Gardens in Huntington. She was Baptist by faith. Survivors include: 5 daughters, Gail Lancaster and Mary Edith Caviness of Statesville, NC, Patricia Lynn Laney of Ashland, KY, Sharon and Ed Horn of Barboursville, Katy and Dave Roberts of Louisa, KY; 3 sons, Neil and Debbie Caviness of Statesville, NC, Glen Edwards of Lexington, NC, and Kyle Romaine Johnson of Louisa, KY;2 sisters, Talmadge McQuaid if Rome Ohio and Bernice Ellis; 2 brothers, John and Linda Poff of Rome Ohio and Marvin Poff of Chesapeake, OH; numerous grand, great grand and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday August 4, 2022 at Chapman's Mortuary with Anthony Stradwick officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service time Thursday at the funeral home.
