Carl Lee Hostetter
(May 11, 1952 - July 17, 2022)

Carl L. Hostetter, 70, of Huntington, died Sunday, July 17, 2022 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born May 11, 1952 in East Palestine, OH, a son of the late Arthur and Vera Kay Compton Hostetter. His sister, Shirley Hostetter Freed also preceded him in death. Carl graduated from East Palestine High School and went on to become a machinist and retired form Crucible Steel in Midland, PA. Survivors include two daughters, Bobbi Hostetter of Wellsville, OH, and Makayla Hostetter of Edinburg, OH; six sons and three daughters-in-law, Billy and Jeanette Burford of Columbus, OH, Jerry and Crystal Hostetter of New Waterford, OH, Christopher "Mike" Hostetter of Huntington, WV, Rich and Jen Hostetter of New Waterford, OH, Anthony Hostetter of Salem, OH, and Dakota Hostetter of Newton Falls, OH; four brothers, Marty Hostetter and Phillip Hostetter, both of East Palestine, OH, Larry Hostetter of Negley, OH, and Frances Hostetter of North Carolina; 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington is assisting the family with cremation and a family inurnment service will occur in Crest Haven Cemetery, Rogers, OH. at a later date.
