Glen Robert Dilley
(September 27, 1953 - July 17, 2022)


Glen Robert Dilley, 68, of Huntington, WV, passed away in his sleep at home Sunday morning July 17, 2022. He was born September 27, 1953, in Newark, NJ, and moved to Huntington, WV with his parents J. D. Dilley and Wanda B. Dilley and sister Ann Talbert-Blake in 1960. He graduated from Huntington East High school in 1972, attended Marshall University, and was a Veteran after serving in the US Army as a Medical Specialist. He loved spending time in Pocahontas County with his relatives and adored meeting new family members. He treasured learning about his ancestry and keeping in touch with everyone. He liked Harley Davidson and was a huge fan of Marshall University and the Green Bay Packers. His favorite pastime was playing poker at the Mardi Gras Casino where he would win championships and spend time with some of his best friends. He left behind his wife, his soulmate and love of his life, Victoria Blissett Dilley, and his two beloved daughters, Mary Rhonda Dilley Maddox (and husband James Christopher Maddox) and daughter Wanda Beth Dilley and his grandson Miles Maddox. He also leaves behind the mother of his children Linda Hazelett; his sister Ann Blake-Talbert; sister Joanne Strausbaugh (and husband Ken) of Mandeville, LA; brother Karl Swingle Jr (and wife Stacy) of Gouldsboro, PA; sister-in-law Jone Johnson (and husband David); brother-in-law, Thomas Blissett; brother-in-law Bucky Blain (and wife Jolyene); nieces Lia Johnson, Angela Blissett, Allisha Salls, Cara Strausbaugh, Eva Strausbaugh, Kaylie Swingle, and Amanda Swingle; nephews David Blissett, Andrew Cain, Jared Cain, Jeremy Salls, Michael Degavage, Brandon Swingle, George Nicholas Blain, and Jonathan Blain; and many grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and his birth mother Maureen Swingle (and husband Karl Swingle Sr), and sister Marian DeGavauge (and husband Charles). He lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed his time with his family.
