Vickers Watts Shore
(December 2, 1962 - May 5, 2013)



Vickers Watts Shore “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is they victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law, but thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” I Corinthians 15:55-57 KJV On Sunday, May 5, 2013, the Lord took VICKERS WATTS SHORE home to glory after injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident. Vic was born on December 2, 1962, in Huntington, West Virginia, being 50-years 5-months and 3-days old. Vic was preceded in death by two grandparents, Margaret Nichols and Nollis Ann Corder, a brother-in-law Jack Adkins, one cousin George Scott Shore and one aunt Eunice Shore. Vic was also preceded in death by his canine companion Sissy. He is survived by his parents William Locke Shore and Glenna VanHoose Shore of Huntington, W.Va.; his wife Sue Thompson Shore and step-daughter Katey Thompson McCloney (Douglas McCloney), and his father-in-law Dr. Douglas Thompson of Morehead, Ky. He was also the proud step-grandfather of little Douglas McCloney, III, of Morehead, Ky. He also leaves behind two sisters, Jacqueline Shore Courts of Kenova, W.Va., and Jennie Shore Watkins (Ronnie) of Corbin, Ky.; one brother Paul Sidney Shore (Donna) of Chesapeake, Ohio; two nephews, David Christopher Adkins (Jami) of Ironton, Ohio and Caleb Watkins of Corbin, Ky.; one niece, Sarah Brittany Courts of Kenova, W.Va. He is also survived by three uncles, George Hansford Shore of Huntington, W.Va., Jim Corder (Susie) of Ceredo, W.Va., and Michael Reynolds (Sheila) of Huntington, W.Va.; and a cousin, William Hansford Shore (Brenda) of Huntington, as well as a host of other friends and family members who mourn is passing. Vic was an employee of Emerson in Morehead, Ky., as a machinist and welder. Visitation will be conducted at Reger Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, with the funeral service following on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at 1 p.m., with visitation from noon up to the funeral hour on Wednesday. Pastor Don Scott of Waverly Road Baptist Church and Elder Ronnie Watkins of Marshes Siding Baptist Church, Marshes Siding, Ky., will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vic’s honor to the Waverly Road Baptist Church, 4412 Waverly Road, Huntington.
