Frank Edward Caldwell
(September 18, 1926 - February 7, 2012)



Frank Edward Caldwell, 85, of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 9, 2012, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Ken Toler officiating. Entombment will be in the White Chapel Mausoleum, White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. He was born September 18, 1926 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Frank O’Neill Caldwell and Goldie Kathryn Snelling Caldwell. His first wife, Virginia Mae Meadows Caldwell, also preceded him in death. He was a retired machinist for the C & O Railroad and was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran. Survivors include: his wife, Wanda R. Smith Caldwell; three daughters, Rebekah (Jerry) Buffington, Bonnie (Rick) Stephenson and Kathy Pumphrey (Keith Jones); two grandsons, Alexander O’Neill Buffington and John Gregory Pumphrey; and four great grandchildren, Meranda Jade, Sydnee Paige, Rebekah Mae “Grace” Buffington and Ryan Gregory Punphrey. Mr. Caldwell also leaves behind a lot of special friends including, Debbie Sellards, Misty Adkins, and LeAnn Jackson. He attended Trinity Church of God; was a Life Member of VFW Post 9738, whose members will conduct military graveside rites; was a member of Huntington DAV Chapter 2; and was a friend of Bill W. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at Chapman’s Mortuary.
