Obituary

Russell Ryan Yost
(January 30, 1963 - February 7, 2012)

RUSSELL RYAN YOST, 49, of Pierson, FL, formerly of Huntington, WV, passed away February 7, 2012 at Florida Memorial Medical Center in Ormond Bch., FL with his Momma and Aunt Judy by his side. He was born January 30, 1963 and was a 1981 graduate of Huntington High School. His love for God and nature and continuous generosity to friends, neighbors, the homeless and those in need that he helped along the way will be his legacy. Russell loved his family, his job, and the family he worked with. He was a working Foreman for Progress Energy Line Maintenance; He was also the Storm Water Management Trainer for all employees; and Chairman of the Wildwood, FL Progress Energy Safety Counsel. Russell made a working exhibit for a science project for a special little girl many years ago and it is still being used in schools to demonstrate how electricity and currents work. He lived life to the fullest every single day and worked just as hard as he played. He loved fishing, 4-wheeling, collecting antiques, people and life in general. Russell coined the phrase "It's All Good" many years ago; so when you hear it, think of him. We know he went to heaven and we know he slid into heaven sideways because that was his style. Russell was preceded in death by his Dad, Miles Kelly Yost. He will truly be missed by his Momma and Stepdad of WV (Sylvia (Yost) Thompson and Larry), brothers Randy Yost of WV and Stephen (and Liz) Yost of WV, sisters Kathy (and Mike) Peterson of WV, Kelli (and Tim) Brizendine of TX, Chrissy (and Chris) Staten of KY, Lorrie Jackson of WV, and Diana Gibson of WV. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews Jace Yost, Kyla and Sheena McClendon, Steven (and Keshia) Peterson, Chase, Brandon and Amber Brizendine, Brandon and Logan Staten, Jillian Jackson, Niki Hackworth, and Jace Jackson, Greg Thompson, Erica Gibson, and Katrina Crawford. Russell will also be missed by all of his Aunts, Uncles, and cousins and many, many friends. Family and friends are invited to help celebrate Russell's life between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm Sunday, February 12th at Chapman's Mortuary. Funeral services will Monday February 13th at 10:00 am, with Pastor Ken Toler officiating. Russell will be buried in the Hooser Cemetery in Lincoln County WV. In honor of Russell’s memory we ask that you please do something nice for someone you know or even a stranger. Pay it forward because "It's all good!"
