Obituary

Raben K. Crisel
(January 19, 1939 - March 27, 2014)

Raben K. Crisel, 75, of Huntington, WV, died Thursday March 27, 2014 in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral service will be conducted 12:00 noon on Monday March 31, 2014 in the Abbey of Peace, Woodmere Memorial Park with Minister Jeff Garrett officiating. Burial will follow. Raben was born January 19, 1939 in Huntington, WV a son of the late William & Minnie Runyon Crisel. He was retired from the former C & O Railroad with over 30 years of service and was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Ann Crisel, 6 sisters, Daveola Fullerton, Edna Mae Mays, Mary Moore, Mauntry Chaffin, June Chapman & Mauney Dishon, 3 brothers, Bob, Bill & Richard Crisel. Survivors include one daughter, Angela Thacker & husband Wes of Huntington, two sisters, Aloma Doak & husband Vernon of South Point, OH., & Gloria Billups of Ashland, KY, one granddaughter, Amanda Jo Thacker of Huntington. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM, when the funeral procession will leave for the cemetery.
