Ruby Elaine Cummings

Ruby Elaine Cummings, 61, of Huntington, passed away Thursday March 27, 2014 at her sister’s residence. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Friday, April 4, 2014 at Chapman’s Mortuary. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born November 7, 1952, in Hurricane, WV a daughter of the late Arthur Hebert and Phillis Jane Browder Thompson. She also had four brothers precede her in death, Charles Stollings, Michael Stollings, Rocco Thompson, and Brooklyn Thompson. She was a former nurses aide for the State Hospital and home health care. Survivors include a daughter, Tabatha Cummings of Huntington; a son, Robert Cummings of Huntington; a special grandson who she helped raise, Corey Runyon of Huntington; four great grandchildren, Corey Runyon, Jr., Brooklyn and Mackenzie Runyon, and Jayra Wooten; a sister, Sarah Thompson; and two brothers, Anthony Thompson and Maurice Stollings. Friends may call 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington.
