Jeffrey Walter West

Jeffrey Walter West, 60, of Huntington, WV, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014, in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington. He was born February 13, 1954 in Wilmington, DE a son of the late James Russell and Betty Steele West. A brother, Jonathan Conrad West, also preceded him in death. He was in construction sales; was active in Boy Scout Troop 8; was involved in youth sports; and was a member of Huntington Model Railroad Society. Survivors include: his wife, Linda Dabney West; two sons, Travis West of Huntington and Bradley West and his wife Stacey of Louisville, KY; a grandson, Cameron West of Louisville, KY; a sister, Suzanne Sloan of Tampa, FL; a cousin and her sons, Mary Melissa Zeigler, Jason Zeigler and Paul Zeigler; and a special family friend, Jason Thompson. A Memorial service will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Ken Smith Family Cemetery in Sydney, KY. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Boy Scouts of America.
