Lorraine Slone

Lorraine Slone, 74, of Huntington, WV, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, at Heritage Center, Huntington. She was born June 14, 1939, in Greenbottom, WV a daughter of the late Richard and Dora Spurlock Pinkerman. Her sisters, Dorothy Lang and Betty Jo Kuhner, and a brother, Walter Pinkerman, also preceded her in death. She was a former sales clerk for J.C. Penney and Sears Department Stores, and was a member of the Worthington Baptist Church in Worthington, KY. Survivors include an ex-husband and devoted friend, Ronnie Lee Slone of Huntington; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kerri Spurlock of Christiansburg, VA; a daughter, Lucinda Spurlock; and two grandchildren, Stephanie and Michael Spurlock. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Wayne Kuhner officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Friends may call 5:00-7:00 pm Sunday at Chapman’s Mortuary.
