Frank Leonard Broce, Jr.
(10-01-1926 - May 20, 2014)



FRANK LEONARD BROCE JR., 87, of Huntington, W.Va., died Monday, May 26, 2014, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2014, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Jerry Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton, W.Va. Frank was born October 1, 1926, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late Frank L. Broce Sr. and Bessie Grubbs Broce. He was a retired foreman from the primary mill at INCO Alloys; a U.S. Army veteran serving during WWII; and a member of VFW Post 9738. He was preceded in death by his first wife Dolores Rae Broce and his second wife Jeanette Louise Broce; three sisters, Aldine Hager, Doris Ann Porter and Gail Lawson. Survivors include three children, Marcia L. Collins and husband Sam of Tulsa, Okla., Joseph R. Broce and wife Marsha of Union, Ky., and his caregiver, Jeffrey L. Broce and wife Gina of Huntington, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Erin Sirk and husband Mike of Wildwood, Fla.; Bryan Broce and wife Tiffany of Weirton, W.Va. and their children Nathan and Skylar; Betheny Rowland and husband Chris of Louisville, Ky., and their son Gage; Kelly Broce of Huntington, W.Va., and her daughter Alexandra; Natalie Greenwell and husband Charles of Tulsa, Okla., and their children Liam and Colin; Stacy Broce of Charleston, W.Va., and her children Marlon and Talia Jones; five very special stepchildren, as well as their children and grandchildren, Greg Lester and wife Maria of Midlothian, Va., Susan May and husband David of West Liberty, Ky., Joseph Lester and wife Ktrena of West Liberty, Ky., Kim Day and husband Jeff of Proctorville, Ohio, and Michael Lester and wife Rebecca of Chesapeake, Ohio. The family would like to thank Frank's caregivers at Midland Meadows for the excellent care he received while there. Veterans Honor Guard Post 16 will conduct military graveside rites. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014.
