Helen Farris, 87, of Huntington, went to be with her loving companion Hobert of 72 years, who was waiting for her with open arms at Heaven's Gate, on Sunday, May 4, 2014. She was born November 9, 1926, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Lige and Lillian Cremeans Murphy. Two sisters, Easter Pinkerman and Doris Pinkerman, and a brother, Arthur Murphy, also preceded her in death. She retired from Federal Glass in Columbus, OH. Survivors include four daughters and two sons-in-law, Betty Manley and Delores Blevins of Huntington, Sandra and Clifford Waller of Grayson, KY, and Judith and Rick McCall of Columbus, OH; a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Glenna Farris of Marysville, OH; a brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Mary Murphy of Lavalette; 16 grandchildren and several Great and Great Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Dennis Morrello officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
