Mrs. Audrey Knapp Fox, 88, of Huntington, WV, died Tuesday, October 18, 2016, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, October 21, 2016, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor Bob Ray officiating. Entombment will follow in the Ridgelawn Abbey of Devotion. Mrs. Fox was born March 22, 1928, in Pine Creek Ohio, a daughter of the late Anton G. and Nellie O. Silliman Knapp. One sister, Laverne Fuller also preceded her in death. She was a magna cum laude graduate of Ironton High School, and a Marshall College graduate with an Associate Degree in Business. She was employed for 30 years by the Herald-Dispatch starting as a teletype operator and serving for most of those years as a linotype operator. After her retirement, her later years were spent as a homemaker and gardener. She was a member of the former Highlawn Baptist church where she served as secretary-treasurer of her Joy Sunday school class. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, William E. "Bill" Fox of Huntington; a brother and sister-in-law Carroll and Tharlie Knapp of Waverly, OH. Friends may visit one hour prior to service time Friday at the funeral home.
