Obituary



Sharon Lynn Woodrick, 65, of South Point, OH, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, October 20, 2016, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Monday, October 24, 2016, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Tom Jones, Jr. and Pastor Tom Jones, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born November 9, 1950 in Huntington a daughter of the late William S. Blevins, Sr. and Alma Critzer Blevins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Nick Woodrick; a son, Earl Vernon Blevins; a sister, Drucilla Lucas; five brothers, William, Oscar, Raymond, Paul and Charles Blevins; and a step son, Mike Woodrick. She worked in housekeeping at St. Mary's Medical Center and was a member of New Beginnings Worship Center, Chesapeake, OH. Survivors include: two daughters, Ruby (Tony) Schneider and Cassandra Woodrick and Mark Johnson, all of South Point, OH; a step daughter, Cissy (Gary) Kirk of Pittsburgh, PA; two stepsons, Marvin (Carol) Woodrick and Kenny (Joy) Woodrick, all of Pittsburgh; seventeen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; two brothers, James (Sibby) Blevins of South Point and Willis (Mary) Blevins of Huntington; three sisters, Opal (Shirl) Adkins of Proctorville, OH, Lilly Fife of South Point, and Mary (Sam) Marcum of Huntington; a birth brother, Ricky (Connie) Blevins of South Point; and two birth sisters, Brenda (Ermil) Stepp of South Point and Becky (Tom) Edwards of Semora, NC. The family would like to thank Hospice of Ashland and a special nurse, Brooke for their loving care. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday at Chapman's Mortuary.
