(December 12, 1941 - December 26, 2014)

RITA ADKINS (ROBINETTE) was born on December 12th, 1941. She passed away surrounded by her family, warmth and love in the early hours of December 26th, 2014. She lived with great love, zest and compassion for others. She was married for 42 years to Larry Adkins until his death in 2004. She lovingly raised four children - Norman, Larry, Teresa and Ashley, who along with their spouses Heba, Clint and Jody, loved her very much. She helped to raise nine grandchildren, Katie, Nick, Brok, Gretchen, Alaina, Caiden, Hannah, Danny and David. She enjoyed life with many friends including her best friend Connie Rowe, who took such great care of her in the later part of her life. She also had a successful career in the legal profession where she took great pride in her professional accomplishments. She was fierce in her devotion to her kids, fun loving, and full of joy. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2012 and fought a brave and inspiring battle. She will be sorely missed, but her legacy of love and compassion will carry on.
