Eric Eak Franklin Pertee, 43, of Barboursville, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. He is the youngest son of Willis and Rebecca Pertee of Barboursville. He was preceded in death by his very special niece, Kelsey Rebecca Kuhn, whom he loved with all his heart. He is survived by his parents; his big brother and best friend, Greg Pertee; his big sister, Stephanie Call, and her husband Doug; his nephews, Tyler Pertee, and his fiancé Brittany Ward and her son Connor Bays, Hunter Pertee and Korey and Quentin Call; his niece, Kendall Kuhn-Barker, and her husband Sam; a special aunt and second mother, Conalee Williamson, and her companion Bob Jones; aunt Carrie Maynard, uncle T.J. Brother Greg Pertee, nephews Tyler and Hunter Pertee and close friends Joey Blankenship, Mitchell Whorley and Brandon Simpson will serve as pallbearers. Eric is considered a very special person to all that know and love him. His heart was so big and so beautiful. He had such a fun-loving personality. His smile and laughter could light up a room. He was the very definition of a mommas boy and his fathers pride and joy. His brother and sister and nieces and nephews simply adored him. He faced and beat many formidable opponents in his lifetime, including cancer. Unfortunately, the battle he fought the longest finally prevailed and ended his life way too soon. Eric was a crucial part of a close-knit, loving family and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at Wallace Funeral Home in Barboursville from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday. The funeral will also be held at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington.
