Jim "Jimmy" Walters
(June 4, 1928 - December 30, 2014)



Jim "Jimmy" Walters, 86, of Barboursville, WV, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel. Entombment will be take place at a later date. He was born June 4, 1928 in Morrisvale, WV, a son of the late Clyde Walters and Thelma Thompson Walters Stone. He was a retired mining engineer with the Corps of Engineers. He was a US Army veteran and a member of Kuhn Memorial Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Tommy E. Walters, his stepfather, Randall Stone, a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and David Smith, and a brother, Jarrell Stone. He is survived by his wife, Frances Ferrell Walters; one daughter and son-in-law, Rose and David Wolford of Milton; one son, James Walters of Wilmington, NC; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Jewell and Earl "Butch" Chaffinch of Seafore, Delaware, Janet and Rich Warren of Missouri, and Jenetta and Darrell Hancock of Chicago; two grandchildren, Valerie and William Wolford of Milton; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. The family would like to give a special thanks to his caregivers, Sarah, Alexis and Amy.
