Homer Boyd "H" Howard
(1939 - December 6, 2014)



Homer Boyd "H" Howard, 75, of Milton passed away suddenly Saturday evening at home. He was preceded in death by his father Homer V. Howard, mother Elizabeth Insco Howard and brother Earnest Howard. He leaves behind his loving and devoted companion of 37 years Marilyn Coleman; one step-daughter Kelly Coleman Albright; one brother William E. Howard (Ann); four nieces and five nephews; his pets who he loved very much; and a host of wonderful friends. He graduated from Huntington East High School in 1958 where he was a football player starting each year. He was a veteran of the United States Army, member of American Legion Post #139, Milton, Mens Auxiliary 9738 and DAV. Before retirement he worked at Adel Fastners and Elmac Corp in Human Resources. He was an avid fan of traditional country music and Marshall University Sports. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #139, Milton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
